ORLANDO - The No. 17 UCF women’s tennis team continued its winning ways in domination fashion Friday night at the USTA National Campus, moving to a perfect 5-0 in Big 12 play after taking down No. 52 Iowa State, 4-2.

On the back of the squad’s highest ranking of the season following a weekend sweep to open the four-match homestand, the Knights (13-1, 5-0) looked the part in another complete display against the Cyclones (8-5, 2-3).

Familiar faces secured UCF with the early advantage, headlined by a sweep on court two courtesy of Sophia Biolay and Aya El Aouni. It wouldn’t take long for the Knights to officially tally the match’s first point, with Olivia Lincer and Hannah Rylatt continuing their winning ways on court one, besting Anna Kuearum and Cristina Ramos Sierra, 6-3.

Each Knight author's first-set triumphs to put the bout fully in the Black and Gold’s favor. The reigning Big 12 Player of the Week doubled the squad’s lead on court one, as Lincer took down the 72nd-ranked Kuearum, 6-2, 6-2, moving her flawless 2025 campaign past her 2024 win total of seven.

Minutes later, freshman Olivia Bergler returned to the win column, first sweeping the opening set before holding it down in the second on court five against Suzanie Pretorius, 6-0, 6-3. The clinch would come just feet away on six, with fellow freshman Rylatt authoring her fourth win of the season in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

Jade Psonka was a game away from taking her court-four bout, while El Aouni was embarking on a third set on two, with Biolay looking to finish of her contest in the second.

The Knights will be back in action on Sunday, welcoming No. 40 Kansas to the USTA National Campus at Noon.
