ORLANDO - After a top-five finish at the Gator’s Invitational, the UCF women’s golf team will head to Augusta, Ga. to compete in the Valspar Augusta Invitational on March 15 and 16.
Hosted by the Valspar Jaguars, this year’s 21st annual invitational will mark the Black and Gold’s first trip to compete at the Forest Hills Golf Club. The Knights will be joined by 12 other teams including Augusta, Coastal Carolina, Emory, Furman, Georgia Southern, Michigan, Michigan State (23), North Florida, Northern Illinois, South Florida, Texas Tech, and Yale.
The Knights lineup will feature Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham, Mila Jurine, Katie Poots, Molly Smith, and Jamie Camero. One Kashima will compete in the tournament as an individual.
Built in 1926, the Forest Hills Golf Club course spans 7,140 yards and plays as a par-72. The three-round tournament will feature 36 holes on Saturday, followed by the final 18 on Sunday.
Rounds one and two of the tournament will be held on Saturday, March 15 scheduled for a 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. The third and final round on Sunday will also be an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
