Men's Tennis Keeps Pace, Shifting to 21st in Latest ITA Rankings

ORLANDO - With just one match separating the UCF men’s tennis team’s inclusion at 22nd in the Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings a week ago, the Knights’ triumph over South Florida on Monday afternoon has continued their climb, now checking at 21st in the nation.

The placement keeps the squad among the country’s best and one of four teams in the Big 12 Conference to feature. Reigning national champions TCU slotted up to first, followed by Arizona in 10th and rounded out by Arizona State at 24th.

Along with the top-25 poll, the first individual rankings of 2025 saw reigning two-time Big 12 Player of the Week, Mehdi Benchakroun, land at 108th as his hot start continues to turn heads.

The Moroccan is one of 15 players to land in the top 125 in the conference with his 7-0 record among the best in the NCAA.

No. 21 UCF is set for a busy weekend down south as it travels to Coral Gables to play Miami on Friday, before concluding the road trip in Boca Raton on Sunday for a match at Florida Atlantic.
