ORLANDO – Ahead of the start of year two of the both the Big 12 and Rich Wallace era, UCF baseball has announced its team captains for the 2025 season.
As voted by the team, this year six players have been named team captain. Those players are pitchers Dominic Castellano (senior), Wiley Hartley (redshirt senior) and Kris Sosnowski (redshirt junior), infielders Lex Boedicker (senior) and Braden Calise (redshirt junior), and catcher Dylan King (redshirt junior).
The six captains will bring a combined total of 18 prior seasons of collegiate experience to the mix. All six captains have postseason experience from playing on last season’s team that made it to the NCAA Tallahassee Regional.
Fans will have a chance to meet the captains as well as the full team on Saturday, Feb. 8 at UCF Baseball Fan Fest, which will be hosted at John Euliano Park from 2 to 4 p.m. The Knights will officially kickoff the season on Feb. 14 at home against Siena.
