Women's Golf Finishes Round One at PDI Intercollegiate Tied for 8th Place

ORLANDO- The UCF women’s golf team began Spring play in the PDI Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Knights ended the first round tied in eighth place with a team score of 284 (-4).

One Kashima helped the Black and Gold finish in the top ten on the first day of the tournament. Kashima tied for 15th place with a score of 70 (-2) tallying five birdies across 18 holes going back-to-back on holes 15 and 16.

Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham and Mila Jurine were the next Knights on the scoreboard, T28. The duo each finished with a score of 71 (-1).

Molly Smith ended the day with a score of 72 (E) and tied in 40th. Katie Poots rounded out the team finishing with a score of 73 (+1), T55.

Jamie Camero and Caroline Nemes compete as individuals in this spring opener. Camero tied at 28th with her fellow Knights recording a score of 71 (-1) and posted three birdies on the day. Nemes finished the first day of play even with a score of 72. 

UCF is set to tee off in the second round of the PDI Intercollegiate on Monday, Feb. 3 at 8:30 a.m.
