ORLANDO - Following a top-five finish to start spring play, the UCF women’s golf team heads to Melbourne, Fla. to compete in the eighth annual Moon Golf Invitational. Hosted by the University of Louisville, the tournament will be held Sunday, February 16th, through Tuesday, February 18th at the Suntree Country Club.  

 

UCF will join 16 other teams on the green including 11 teams ranked in the top-25: Alabama, Auburn (21), Augusta, Clemson, Florida State (7), Louisville, LSU (15), North Carolina (16), Northwestern (10), Ole Miss (19), South Carolina (4), Tennessee, Texas (6), Texas A&M (18), Virginia (9), and Wake Forest (12).

 

This marks the Black and Gold’s seventh trip to the Moon Golf Invitational, with their highest finish being in the 2018-19 season, where the Knights took first. The 54-hole tournament will take place on the Suntree Country Club Classic Course, with 18 holes played daily. The course, renovated in 2015, spans 6,467 yards and plays as a par 72.

 

The Knights lineup will feature Mila Jurine, Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham, One Kashima, Molly Smith and Katie Poots

 

Rounds one and two of the tournament are set to tee off at 8:00 a.m., with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
