ORLANDO - The UCF men’s golf team will head to Gainesville this weekend to compete in the Vystar Credit Union Gator Invitational hosted by Florida at the Mark Bostick Golf Course. The tournament will be held Saturday, Feb.15 and Sunday Feb.16. This is the 48th year of the event and it’s tied for the sixth-longest running Division I golf tournament.

The teams play 36 holes Saturday and the final 18 holes of the 54-hole event on Sunday. Play begins each day with a modified shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. Fans can follow the action on GolfStat.

The Knights are set to face off against a strong field including No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Florida, No. 25 South Florida, Charlotte, Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Liberty, North Florida, Penn State and West Virginia.

Mark Bostick Golf Course serves as the official home course for both Florida’s men’s and women’s golf teams. Stretching 6,701, this course features a par 70 layout. Originally designed by architect Donald Ross in the 1920’s, the course has been through many renovations but has always remained a landmark in the northwest corner of UF’s Gainesville campus. The course has also hosted legends like Billy Horschel.

UCF is competing in the Gator Invitational for the second consecutive year and the third time in the past four years. Last season, the Knights finished seventh in a stacked field or ranked teams with an 852 (+12). Former Knight Egor Eroshenko tallied a career-best on the course with a seven-under-par 203 (-7).

This lineup will consist of Lucas Dutartre, Jakob Stubhaug, Gustav Andersson, Chase Haygood and Hans Risvaer. Dutartre, Stubhaug and Andersson earned their spots in the lineup by meeting the qualifying score of even par for three rounds of qualifying.

The final two spots were coaches picks determined by all the data points attached below, including each player’s W-L-T record for all events and winning percentage, as well as their collegiate Scoreboard Ranking and World Amateur Golf Rankings.
