The UCF spirit teams will compete at the 2025 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship this weekend. The competition will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from Friday, Jan. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 19.
UCF’s cheer team will be competing in the division 1A coed and gameday events. Last year, the Knights claimed their fourth national title in the coed division and first since 2020, after also earning the top spot in 2007 and 2003. UCF won the 2019 crown in the gameday division.
After recording its best finish in the hip hop division in 2024 with a fifth-place finish, the Knights’ dance team will compete in the division 1A hip hop and 1A jazz. Last year, the dance team placed seventh in hip hop and 14th in jazz. This was the second year in a row that the team finished seventh in hip hop, marking their best finish in team history.
UCF and LSU were the only two programs to advance to the finals in coed cheer, jazz and hip hop a season ago.
