ORLANDO - The UCF women’s golf team is partnering with Player Development Index (PDI) for its tournament at Eagle Creek Golf Club that will take place February 2 through February 4.

Established in 1994, PDI is a revolutionary new tool that helps discover and track the key factors that contribute to long term success. PDI assigns a numerical score out of 100 to quantify an athlete’s current skill level, enabling coaches to consistently monitor progress throughout the athletes development.

“We are very excited to partner with PDI to put on the PDI Intercollegiate,” said head coach Emily Marron. “This event attracts the top teams in the country and provides a great opportunity for PDI to showcase their product and their support for women’s college golf. Our goal is to give our student-athletes a top notch experience at Eagle Creek and it was clear to us that PDI is also committed to this purpose.”

The PDI Intercollegiate will be held at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. The tournament will start Sunday February 2 through Tuesday February. 4. This premier golf club, established in 2004, puts emphasis on its well groomed fairways and pristine greens which enhances the overall player experience.

PDI highlighted the importance of the Knights golf program and future tournaments. “The Knights' golf program, under Coach Marron's leadership, has a well-deserved reputation for adopting innovative tools and practice strategies to achieve excellence," said Eric Allen, Chief Product Officer for PDI. "This tournament showcases some of the best talent and coaches in college golf -- prime audiences for leveraging PDI -- and we're excited to partner with UCF to make it happen. We look forward to connecting with the players and coaches and demonstrating how PDI assessments can help them reach their full potential."

The Knights are set to face off against Augusta, Baylor, Central Arkansas, Charleston, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana Monroe, Mississippi St., Nebraska, North Carolina, Old Dominion, Penn State, Sacramento State, South Florida, and Tulsa in the PDI Intercollegiate.
