ORLANDO – Coming off the program’s inaugural Big 12 season and a trip to the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, head coach Rich Wallace has announced UCF baseball’s full slate for the 2025 season. The schedule features the Knights hosting 31 games at John Euliano Park and squaring off against six teams who appeared in the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.
Of the six teams who advanced to the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, UCF will welcome Florida, Stetson, West Virginia and Bryant to John Euliano Park. The Black and Gold will face fellow 2024 NCAA tournament participants, Kansas State and Oklahoma State, on the road.
The Knights will play 12 games against seven in-state opponents, welcoming Florida, Miami, Florida Atlantic, Stetson and North Florida to John Euliano Park. The Black and Gold will travel to face South Florida for a three-game series and Jacksonville for a midweek matchup, as well as Stetson, UNF and FAU. The Knights finished 14-4 against Sunshine State opponents in 2024.
“We’re excited with how our 2025 schedule came together and can’t wait to welcome a number of challenging opponents here to Orlando as well as take on a few more on the road,” Wallace said. “We look forward to continuing to elevate the program as well as packing John Euliano Park this season.”
The 2025 campaign will begin at John Euliano Park, as the Knights host Siena Feb. 14-16 for a three-game series. The opening homestand continues when Missouri visits from the SEC on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The Bryant Bulldogs, who won the America East last year, will continue the homestand when they come to town Feb. 21-23.
The Black and Gold will then face a gauntlet of in-state opponents with five straight games against Sunshine State foes. The FAU Owls will make the trip from Boca Raton for a midweek matchup Feb. 25. UCF will then head west on I-4 to face USF in Tampa for a three-game set Feb. 28-March 2. A season ago, the Black and Gold took two of three from the Bulls in Orlando. Once the Knights return home, they’ll host Florida on March 4. The Gators finished 36-30 in 2024 and capped their season with a trip to the Men’s College World Series.
The following weekend, Monmouth will come to town for a three-game series March 7-9 before Miami closes out a five-game homestand on March 11. The Knights topped both Miami and Florida on the road in 2023.
UCF will open Big 12 play when it travels to Provo, Utah, to face BYU March 13-15. After the program’s inaugural trip to the state of Utah, the Black and Gold will fly back to Central Florida for a quick stop in Deland for a midweek contest against Stetson on March 18. The Hatters competed alongside UCF in the 2024 Tallahassee Regional, where the Knights took the contest 5-2.
The Black and Gold will return home for a three-game Big 12 set against Houston March 21-23. Following the first home league series of the year, UCF will travel to Jacksonville to take on the JU Dolphins March 25 for a midweek matchup.
Big 12 play continues when the Knights travel to Cincinnati to face off against the Bearcats March 28-30. After the trip, the Black and Gold will host Stetson April 1, for the second and final contest of the season between the two. The homestand will close with conference foe Kansas coming to Orlando April 4-6.
Following the KU series, UCF will travel to Jacksonville for a Tuesday matchup against UNF April 8. The Knights will continue to road trip by heading to Manhattan, Kansas, for a league series at Kansas State April 11-13. The Wildcats were one of the four fellow returning Big 12 teams to compete in the 2024 NCAA tournament and advanced to the Charlottesville Super Regional.
The Knights return to Orlando for a three-game set against conference opponent TCU April 17-19. In their history, the Horned Frogs have hoisted eight conference titles, the most of any current Big 12 program. Following TCU, UCF will travel to Boca Raton to face FAU for the second and final matchup of the season between the two on April 22. The Black and Gold will then return to John Euliano Park for a league series against West Virginia April 25-27. The Mountaineers finished fourth in the Big 12 in 2024 and advanced to the Chapel Hill Super Regional during their 2024 NCAA tournament run. The homestand will close with a Tuesday night game against North Florida April 29.
The Black and Gold will travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to face Oklahoma State May 2-4. The Cowboys are the reigning Big 12 tournament champions and posted a 42-19 overall record in 2024. The Pokes capped their 2024 campaign with an appearance in the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The Knights will then face Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri, May 6 before traveling to the Lone Star State for a league series at Texas Tech that weekend (May 9-11).
The final homestand of the season opens with Presbyterian visiting John Euliano Park for a midweek matchup May 13. The Knights will close their 2025 regular-season campaign May 15-17 against Baylor. The Black and Gold collected a 2-1 series win against the Bears in Waco in 2024.
In all, UCF will host eight weekend series and seven midweek matchups.
The top 12 teams in the Big 12 will advance to the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship May 21-24 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. A season ago, UCF went 2-1 at the tournament and advanced to the semifinal round.
During Wallace’s first season at the helm in Orlando last year, the Knights tallied their most wins (37) and highest winning percentage (.638) since 2017. He also led the Black and Gold to a 16-16 record against Big 12 Conference foes in the program’s first season in the league, which included series victories over Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor and Houston. Wallace capped his inaugural season as head coach by leading the Knights to their first NCAA Regional appearance since 2017 as well as advance to the regional finals for the first time since 2012.
