Throughout her tenure in Huntington, West Virginia, Washington hit .336/.391/.422 (39-for-116) with 18 runs scored, seven doubles, one home run, 49 total bases, seven stolen bases, 11 walks and 13 RBI. She also produced a .946 fielding percentage in the outfield, registering 52 putouts and one assist while committing just three errors in her 56 total chances.
After earning her first collegiate hit against Longwood Feb. 17, a sixth-inning RBI single in Marshall’s 6-2 win, Washington would go on to post 10 multi-hit games, including a season-high three hit effort against App State April 26.
She hit safely in eight of her nine appearances Feb. 25–March 8, featuring three two-hit showings in that span, and down the stretch of the Herd’s 2024 slate hit safely in 14 of Marshall’s final 17 games of the spring April 6–May 10, highlighted by the second of her two six-game hit streaks.
Against then-No. 15 Virginia Tech April 24, though the Hokies edged the Herd by a 9-7 final score, Washington produced her ninth multi-hit contest of the season, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. The game represented her second of the season that saw her record a hit against a ranked opponent, after she also went 1-for-3 against then-No. 23 Kentucky March 20.
The then-freshman came through for her team in both of its two postseason showings as well, going 1-for-4 with an RBI single in Marshall’s Sun Belt Tournament-opening 4-2 victory over Georgia Southern May 8 before she slugged an RBI double in the tournament quarterfinal against second-seeded Texas State May 10.
