For the first time in his professional career, recent UCF men’s golfer Teddy Tetak has earned his DP World Tour Card after completing the final stage of qualifying school among the top 20 players at the Infinitum Golf Resort in Tarragona, Spain.

Tetak finished the final tournament tied for 18th with a six-round score of -18 to secure his first DP World Tour Card. He was at his best in his final three rounds, firing a six under in the fourth round and a five under in the fifth and sixth rounds.

The Limbach, Slovakia, native opened the final stage with a one-over-par 73 with two birdies, before bouncing back nicely in the second round with a 66 (-5) with six birdies. Tetak overcame adversity in the third round where he finished with a 74 and rebounded with strong showings in the final three rounds to earn his card.

In the final three rounds, Tetak had 20 birdies and only four bogeys.

Since its inception in 1976, the DP World Tour Qualifying School has been a gateway for numerous golfers who have achieved global success, including Major champions and Ryder Cup players. Notable alumni include Colin Montgomerie, Sandy Lyle, Justin Rose, and Miguel Ángel Jiménez.

For the sixth time, Infinitum hosted the final stage with two distinct courses: The Lakes and The Hills. The Lakes winds around the Sèquia Major wetlands, presented a strategic challenge amid a vital ecosystem. The Hills is set among natural pine trees and cliffs and offers panoramic sea views while demanding precision and adaptability from players.

Tetak wrapped up his UCF career in 2022 with the second-best scoring average on the team with a 71.88 clip. Following the season, he was tabbed a unanimous American Athletic All-Conference selection.

The DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stage, which began on Friday, Nov. 8 and ended Thursday morning (Nov. 14), was a pivotal event offering 156 golfers the opportunity to secure playing privileges on the DP World Tour for the 2025 season.

The qualifying school began in late August with nine first stage events across seven countries.
