Women's Golf Stays in Second Place Following Round Two at Merecedes-Benz

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Following its second round at the Merecedes-Benz Intercollegiate, the UCF women’s golf team is in second place after finishing the day 11-over 579. 
The Knights are just two shots behind Miami (FL) being the sole leader at nine-over 577.


Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham leads the Black and Gold with an even-par performance to end the day tied for third place. The Thailand native went bogey-free on the back nine with back-to-back birdies on hole No. 10 and 11. 


Molly Smith is tied for 10th place after carding a 74 (+3). The sophomore tallied two birdies on the day. 

One Kashima recorded a 72 in the second round at Cherokee Country Club. After a rough start on the front nine, she notched four birdies on the back nine. 


Just one stroke behind Kashima, Mila Jurine tallied 75 (+4) which puts her tied for 38th place. 


Jamie Camero finished the second day of the tournament with an 85 (+14) and is tied for 56th place.


Competing as an individual, Katie Poots carded a 76 (+5) to be tied for 22nd place.


The final round of the Merecedes-Benz Intercollegiate will feature a 9:15 a.m. shotgun start and UCF will be paired with Campbell and Miami.
