ORLANDO – The UCF women’s tennis team has added the Miami Spring Invite to its inaugural Big 12 Conference spring season schedule. The Knights, who received votes in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, will travel to Coral Gables, Florida, from Jan. 12-14 to participate in the tournament.
The Miami Spring Invite, hosted by Miami, is an annual spring tournament that brings some of the best teams in the country to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center for a three-day tournament. Competing this year alongside UCF is No. 21 Miami, No. 9 NC State, No. 17 Vanderbilt, and fellow conference opponent TCU. The Wolfpack are fresh off a national runner-up finish, while the Commodores and the Hurricanes are coming off second-round appearances in the NCAA tournament. The Horned Frogs won the inaugural Universal Tennis NIT Championship in 2023.
The Knights host their first dual matches the following weekend when Georgia Tech and Bethune-Cookman travel to the USTA National Campus Jan. 20.
Additionally, UCF's home match against Stetson slated for Friday, Feb. 23 has been canceled.
