ORLANDO – In conjunction with the Big 12 conference, the UCF women’s basketball program announced its full schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season on Thursday.
The Knights’ nonconference slate features 10 games with seven home contests played at Addition Financial Arena. The Black and Gold will travel to Las Vegas during Thanksgiving Break to participate in the UNLV Classic (UNLV and Montana State) and an away contest at Texas Southern.
UCF will tip off the 2024-25 season at home, as the regular season is set to commence Nov. 5 with a matchup against Iona. This will mark the fourth consecutive year that the Black and Gold have opened the season at home.
The Knights will have a quick turnaround, as they host Marquette Nov. 7 for the second game of the season. It will be the second meeting, as the last came on Dec. 30, 1987, in Orlando, a 77-75 UCF win.
The Knights will return to Orlando for a four-game homestand, as UCF welcomes Stetson (Nov. 16), North Florida (Nov. 19), SIU Edwardsville (Nov. 22) and Florida A&M (Nov. 24). The contest between UCF and SIU Edwardsville will be the first meeting against the Cougars in program history.
The Black and Gold travel to the Entertainment Capital of the World with two games on the docket, starting with UNLV (Nov. 27) and Montana State (Nov. 29). This will mark the second time that UCF has played at UNLV and the first matchup between UCF and Montana State.
UCF kicks off December with a trip to Houston for a road game against Texas Southern on Dec. 7, featuring the first matchup between the Knights and Tigers.
The Knights wrap up their nonconference schedule at home against High Point on Dec. 17.
UCF commences its second season in the Big 12 conference hosting TCU on Dec. 21.
The Black and Gold will kick off 2025 at West Virginia on New Year's Day. A quick trip home follows, as the Knights host Arizona (Jan. 4).
UCF heads out west for a midweek matchup against Colorado on Jan. 8.
The squad will make a trip back to Orlando after that matchup, as the Knights host Cincinnati on Jan. 11. UCF then heads to the Lonestar State for the second matchup of the season against TCU on Jan. 14.
The Oklahoma State Cowgirls head to Addition Financial Arena for a Saturday matchup on Jan. 18.
Following a bye week, the Knights head back out on the road to Ames, Iowa, for a matchup against Iowa State on Jan. 25. UCF welcomes Baylor (Jan. 28) and Houston (Feb. 1) for a two-game home stand in Addition Financial Arena.
A swing trip to Utah will feature the Knights against BYU on Feb. 5, followed by a matchup at conference newcomer Utah on Feb. 8.
The Knights will welcome conference newcomer, Arizona State, to Orlando on Feb. 12. A trip to Kansas will feature games at Kansas State (Feb. 15) and at Kansas (Feb. 18).
UCF will round out its home schedule with a two-game homestand against Texas Tech (Feb. 22) and Iowa State (Feb. 25).
For the second time in the past two years, the Black and Gold wrap up the season at Houston on March 2.
UCF will enter the 2024-25 season with the returning Big 12 leading scorer, Kaitlin Peterson, and four returners. The Knights welcomed nine newcomers over the offseason. Of the nine, four are transfers and five will be true freshmen.
