The Knights’ run against the newest Big 12 members continues as UCF heads west for a two-game road swing against Arizona on Jan. 11 and Arizona State on Jan. 14. It will be the first time the Black and Gold have met either of those programs.
UCF returns home to host long-time rival Houston on Jan. 18. It will be the only meeting between the former American Athletic Conference rivals and the 36th time the two sides will clash.
The Black and Gold will take their first trip to Iowa State, visiting Ames for a Jan. 21 matchup. The Cyclones made a run to the Sweet 16 in last year’s NCAA Tournament, beating South Dakota State and Washington State along the way.
The Knights will host TCU for the first time on Jan. 25 before heading to play Kansas on Jan. 28 for the program’s inaugural trip to Allen Fieldhouse.
UCF will host its second two-game homestand, reuniting with last season’s Big 12 newcomers BYU and Cincinnati, with games in Orlando on Feb. 1 and Feb. 5, respectively.
The next new stamp in UCF’s passport will be Waco, Texas, as the Knights visit Baylor on Feb. 8. The Knights then travel back home to host Iowa State on Feb. 11, the second of two meetings with the Cyclones.
The Knights embark on a trip to Boulder to visit Colorado on Feb. 15 for the first time since 2007, the second of two meetings on the year with the Buffaloes. The road trip continues on Feb. 19 with a visit to Stillwater where UCF looks to improve on their perfect 3-0 record against the Cowboys.
Utah will take its inaugural trip to Orlando as UCF hosts the Utes on Feb. 23 to open the third and final two-game homestand of the campaign. Kansas State will also visit The City Beautiful for the first time, coming to town for a Feb. 26 tilt.
March starts with the Knights in Fort Worth, Texas to take on TCU on March 1. Darius Johnson returns to the site where he filled the basket to the brim with a career-high 33 points in a 79-77 victory last season to wrap up the team’s inaugural Big 12 slate.
UCF will celebrate its seniors and wrap up the home schedule on March 5 as it hosts Oklahoma State for the first time in what will be the fifth all-time meeting with the Cowboys.
The regular season concludes on March 8 with all 16 of the conference’s teams in action, including UCF visiting Morgantown to take on West Virginia.
The Big 12 Conference Championship returns to the T-Mobile Center in downtown Kansas City from March 11-15. The Knights earned a win over Oklahoma State in the Black and Gold’s inaugural tournament game as members of their new conference last season.
Eight of UCF’s 10 home Big 12 contests are against teams that finished in the top 50 of the NET ranking in 2023-24, including six that finished in the top 25. All five home-only foes made the NCAA Tournament or NIT last season, while nine of the 10 total home tilts did the same. Of the 10 home contests, six made last year’s NCAA Tournament and four won a March Madness game. The 10 opponents combine for 281 NCAA Tournament appearances over the teams’ histories, including 46 over the last 10 seasons.
UCF’s full 2024-25 schedule has now been announced, as the out of league slate was revealed on Sept. 5. In addition to the announcement of the Big 12 league slate, the men’s basketball program has also unveiled the start times of non-conference contests. All weekday night games will begin at 7 p.m., with weekend games starting at 4 p.m., with the lone exception to this rule being a 6 p.m. start on Dec. 21 against Jacksonville.
