ORLANDO – On the heels of the team’s most comfortable victory of the young fall campaign, the UCF men’s soccer team has jumped back into the nation’s top 10.
As announced by the organization in Tuesday afternoon’s release, the Knights, unbeaten through four matches with a 2-0-2 record, have been ranked the No. 10 team in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches week three poll.
The Black and Gold’s latest slot represents its fourth straight placing within the country’s top 25 dating back to the preseason rankings, as well as its 2024 debut within the top 10 after the program earned the No. 17 spot last week.
UCF last season spent nine consecutive weeks within the top 10 in the United Soccer Coaches top 25, from week two (Sept. 5) through week 10 (Oct. 31), culminating in the first No. 1 national ranking in a regular-season poll in UCF athletics history.
The West Virginia Mountaineers retained their No. 1 national ranking in Tuesday’s latest poll, garnering all eight first-place votes, while the Marshall Thundering Herd moved up one spot to No. 6 after slotting in at No. 7 a week ago.
The Seattle Redhawks, a squad with which the Knights played to a 1-1 draw Aug. 25, also moved up two spots to No. 9 after slotting in at No. 11 last week to round out UCF’s scheduled 2024 opponents included in the poll.

UP NEXT
The 10th-ranked Knights will take on the FIU Panthers in the team's first road test of the 2024 campaign Wedesday, Sept. 11. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. from Leyva Family Field at FIU Soccer Stadium and will be streamed on ESPN+.
