UCF Announces Updates to Student Ticketing Process

by Justin Wilson

ORLANDO –The Knightmare Student Section, known for providing a home-field advantage at UCF football games, is set to undergo significant improvements ahead of the 2024 season. In collaboration with UCF Student Government, the UCF Athletics Association (UCFAA) has unveiled updates aimed at enhancing the overall student game day experience.

Starting in 2024, students who claim a ticket will be ensured admission until 15 minutes before kickoff!

How will this work? Student Tickets vs. Student Standby Passes

*Student tickets will be available starting Monday of each game week at 10:30 am. Students will be able to log in and claim one (1) student ticket. Student ticket claims will remain open until all tickets have been claimed. If you claim a student ticket, you will be ensured entry in the student section on gameday until 15 minutes before the scheduled kickoff time. If your arrival is after the 15-minute mark you can join the general standby pass line.

*Student Ticket claims for UCF vs. New Hampshire (home Opener) will open Thursday, Aug. 22nd at 10:30 am

Once all student tickets have been claimed, standby passes will be available to claim to all other UCF students looking to attend. Students with a standby pass will be admitted into FBC Mortgage Stadium starting 15 minutes before kickoff IF the student section has not reached capacity.

Why the Change?

Based on feedback from UCF students, we believe this would positively affect the student’s gameday experience, particularly in these areas:

  • Eliminate the unknowns of gameday, by enabling students to better plan out their gameday.
  • Eliminate/reduce the amount of time standing in line.
  • With the Student Gate opening 90 minutes before kick-off, this allows students to maximize the time they can enjoy pregame festivities without the stress of getting into the game
  • Maximize student attendance at each home game.
