Malzahn, Five UCF Players Set for Big 12 Football Media Day July 10

IRVING, Texas – In advance of its second season in the Big 12 Conference, UCF football head coach Gus Malzahn, quarterback KJ Jefferson, running back RJ Harvey, wide receiver Kobe Hudson, defensive tackle Lee Hunter and linebacker Deshawn Pace will preview the 2024 football season at Big 12 Football Media Day, presented by Totinos, July 10 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Malzahn and the five players will meet with the media and television broadcast partners throughout the day on Wednesday, headlined by appearances on ESPNU and Big 12 Now on ESPN+. The Knights' schedule for the day features segments with CBS, ESPN, Fox, Sirius XM and numerous others during the full day affair.

As the Big 12 expands to a 10-state, 16-team league, this event marks the league’s first-ever Las Vegas-based event.

The 2024 Big 12 Media Day, which begins on Tuesday, July 9, is broken up into a two-day event with eight teams participating each day. Tuesday’s slate features Arizona State, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and Utah.

UCF will be joined by Arizona, Baylor, BYU, Colorado, Houston, Kansas and West Virginia.

The Knights open their 2024 campaign against New Hampshire at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at FBC Mortgage Stadium. The first meeting between the programs will air live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
 
UCF’s home conference slate features contests versus Colorado, Cincinnati, BYU, Arizona and Utah. The Knights' Big 12 road game list includes TCU, Iowa State, Arizona State and West Virginia.
