ORLANDO The UCF women’s golf team and head coach Emily Marron secured the Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year to the class of 2024-25 on Thursday, as the team announced the signing of One Kashima to the squad.

Kashima comes to UCF from North Florida, where she was a member of the Ospreys’ golf team for her freshman season. In her rookie season, she played in nine events and recorded three top-10 finishes.

The Tochigi, Japan, native obtained multiple awards as she was tabbed ASUN Freshman of the Year, All-ASUN Second Team, ASUN All-Freshman Team and ASUN All-Tournament Team.

We feel fortunate to add One to our team. Her game really developed during her freshman year at UNF, and I am confident that her experience will help our lineup this coming year. One is exactly what we are looking for. She is a solid player but an even better person, and she will fit right in with our team quickly.
