ORLANDO – The UCF men’s basketball team has officially announced the addition of Jordan Ivy-Curry to the 2024-25 roster, per head coach Johnny Dawkins on Thursday.

“We’re excited to have Jordan join our program. He is an accomplished scorer who affects the game in many ways with his playmaking, energy and intensity. He can really fill it up and possesses a great skill set. Due to his work ethic and commitment to improve, he will have an opportunity to flourish in our system.”

Ivy-Curry put up incredible numbers on the offensive side of the ball in his senior campaign with UTSA, posting 17.1 points per game while shooting 40.1% from the field and 38.7% from beyond the arc. The 6-3 guard also pulled down 5.2 rebounds per contest along with posting 3.0 assists per game. He led the team in points per game, was tied for second in steals and ranked third in rebounding while playing in 21 games.

Ivy-Curry scored 20 or more points on 10 occasions during the 2023-24 season and scored 30 or more twice, including a career-high 38 points against FAU on Jan. 21. He tallied his second career double-double in his fourth appearance of his senior season, scoring 20 points and pulling in 10 rebounds against UAB.

Scoring has always been a part of Ivy-Curry’s game, as he averaged 10.3 points per game at Pacific in his junior year and 13.9 points in his sophomore campaign at UTSA. He started his career with a clip of 7.2 points per contest in his freshman season with the Roadrunners. Ivy-Curry earned a spot on the 2020-21 C-USA All-Freshman Team after playing in all 26 games while earning 11 starts.

Ivy-Curry is the ninth newcomer officially signed to the 2024-25 squad. He is joined by Keyshawn Hall, who can play as either a guard or forward and averaged north of 16.5 points per game last season. Dallan 'Deebo' Coleman from Georgia Tech and freshman Cameron Simpson make up the group of newcomer guards. Forwards Rokas Jocius, JJ Taylor, Moustapha Thiam, Benny Williams and Elijah Hulsewe round out the incoming group ready to suit up for UCF’s second year in the Big 12 Conference.

The newcomers compiled a total of 57.9 points per game during the 2023-24 season. Hall was close to matching Ivy-Curry’s total with 16.6 points per contest with George Mason. Jocius posted a clip of 8.5 points per game at La Salle. Coleman posted 5.9 points per contest at Georgia Tech, while Williams contributed 5.4 points per game at Syracuse. Hulsewe averaged a clip of 4.4 points per game at Bethune-Cookman.

The Knights will open the 2024-25 season with a home contest against Texas A&M on Nov. 4. Tipoff time will be announced at a later date.
