UCF at Florida Football Game Set for Primetime Window

by Justin Wilson

UCF football’s Oct. 5 matchup against Florida at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville will kick off in primetime, as the Southeastern Conference and its television partners announced Tuesday the game will start between 6 and 8 p.m. ET.

The exact kickoff time and tv network will be announced as the game approaches.

UCF and Florida will meet for the fourth time in the history of the programs, with the Knights winning the most recent matchup in the 2021 Gasparilla Bowl. UCF outscored Florida 20-7 in the second half and held the Gators scoreless for the game’s final 23 minutes to earn a 29-17 victory in head coach Gus Malzahn’s first season leading the Black and Gold.

With the announcement of the broadcast window, UCF will have at least three games air in primetime during the 2024 season as the Knights’ Sept. 14 road game at TCU and regular-season finale against Utah at home will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET, respectively.

The Knights open their 2024 campaign against New Hampshire at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 at FBC Mortgage Stadium. The first meeting between the programs will air live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

The Big 12 will publish the remainder of the game times on a regular basis throughout the fall, on either a 12- or six-day turnaround from week to week.

For the fourth consecutive season and fifth time since 2019, UCF has sold out its football season tickets.
