BERMUDA RUN, N.C. – The UCF women’s golf team concluded its 2023-24 season at the Bermuda Run Regional on Wednesday.
The Knights entered the day three spots from the top-5 54-hole cut to advance to the National Championships next week. The Black and Gold started the day off a little rocky carding just five birdies on the front nine compared to their eight on the back nine but fell below the cut line and finished ninth.
Molly Smith and Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham led the charge as both finished in the top-25. The freshman, Smith, participating in her first NCAA regional ended the 54-hole tournament with a 214 (-2) to tie for 15th place. Sisutham tallied a final score of 217 (+1) to finish T21.
Katie Poots carded a 227 (+11) to finish T42 in the final tournament of her freshman campaign.
Playing in their final collegiate round, Brittany Shin and Jess Baker finished 50th and T51, respectively. Shin carded a 229 (+13) scoring two birdies on the front nine. Baker recorded a 54-hole score of 230 (+14) and carded two birdies in the final round.
