CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The multis squad picked up right where they left off this afternoon at Cobb Stadium, as two Knights set personal bests in their first heptathlon of the season. The trio each tallied career marks en route to three top-10 finishes.

It was a great weekend for the Multis group. They put together some very solid performances. I’m looking forward to seeing them continue that trend.

Head coach Dana Boone

Holly Cassels and Natalia Madison led the way in the long jump, with the former securing sixth place with a wind-legal best performance, securing a 5.67m mark. Madison trailed in seventh with a respectful 5.65m jump while Harris stayed with the pack and notched a 5.44m mark and a 13th-place finish.

Harris secured her second personal best of the weekend with a 10th-place finish in the javelin throw, securing a 30.01m mark. Cassels led the pack yet again with her 32.58m throw and seventh-place finish.

Fittingly, the trio would each attain a personal best in the 800m in emphatic style. In third, Cassels shinned in one of her strongest events, running a 2:17.82, while Harris followed in fifth with a strong 2:22.10 performance. Madison capped off her weekend with a 16th-place time of 2:30.04.

Overall, Cassels was dominant and led the Knights trio in fifth with 5,185 points, a new personal best for the senior. Madison garnered 5,174 points and notched a seventh-place finish, while Harris jumped into the record books with her 5,076-point outing, the sixth-best in program history.

UCF will be back in action at the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Florida, next weekend from April 12-13.
