Men’s Golf Ready for Augusta Haskins Award Invitational

ORLANDO – For the 12th consecutive year, the UCF men’s golf team will travel to Augusta, Georgia, to compete in the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, hosted by Augusta University. The tournament will be held at Forest Hills Golf Club Saturday, April 6, and Sunday April 7.

The teams play 36 holes on Saturday and the final 18 on Sunday. Tee times start at 8:30 a.m. on both days. Fans can follow the action live on GolfStat.com.

The Knights face a challenging field of opponents in the invitational, including top-ranked North Carolina in addition to seven other teams among the latest top 50 Scoreboard Rankings powered by Clippd. No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 17 Illinois, No. 18 Texas, No. 19 East Tennessee State, No. 26 Mississippi State, No. 32 Oklahoma State, No. 47 South Florida, Augusta (host), Army, Marquette, Mercer, Troy and Wofford round out the 15-team field along with UCF.

Established in 1926, Forest Hills Golf Club was designed by Donald Ross and redesigned by Arnold Palmer Company in 2003. Forest Hills Golf Club is home to Augusta University's women’s and men’s golf teams.

This lineup was made by a coach’s selection for each spot in the lineup. The decision was based off the totality of each player’s World Amateur Golf Ranking, UCF tournament play, UCF practice evaluation rounds, daily team range practice, team workouts, attitude, academic standing, and overall effort/results.

Hans Risvaer, Chase Haygood, Egor Eroshenko, Cooper Tate and Gustav Andersson will represent the Knights at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational.

UCF has won the team title three times (1990, 2014, 2017) in the history of the event with the two most recent coming under the direction of current Knights head coach Bryce Wallor. Last year, the Black and Gold finished seventh as a team with an 853 (-11) to earn a pair of ranked wins, as the UCF ended ahead of No. 19 Georgia Southern (868) and No. 47 Notre Dame (883).

Luis Carrera put together one of the best performances of his collegiate career with a 54-hole score of 204 (-12) to tie the fifth best in UCF men's golf program history at last year’s Augusta Haskins Award Invitational to lead the Knights. He was under par all three rounds to finish third on the individual leaderboard with his career-best score of 204 (67+68+69).
