After starting every game at left tackle the last two seasons, UCF’s Tylan Grable was selected by Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft held Saturday in Detroit, Michigan. Grable is the second Knights player to be taken in this year’s draft, as wide receiver Javon Baker was taken in the fourth round by the New England Patriots.

Grable started all 13 games last season, helping UCF compile the nation’s fourth-ranked rushing offense (228.2) and the nation's eighth-ranked total offense (487.0). He was tabbed an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the league’s coaches and participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl.

With Grable leading the offensive line, the unit was one of 23 listed on the midseason honor roll for the Joe Moore Award, presented annually to the most outstanding offensive line in college football.

The Gordon, Georgia, native graded out at 81.6 by Pro Football Focus in pass blocking, 72.1 overall in blocking and 66.4 in run blocking. Grable played 841 offensive snaps, the second most on the team. He did not allow a sack during the season and earned a 98.7 efficiency rating at his position.

Grable is the 50th UCF player to be selected in the NFL Draft and the first offensive lineman taken since Jah Reid in 2011.
