ORLANDO – For the first time since February of 2021, the UCF baseball team has entered the top 25 national rankings.

After winning their third-straight Big 12 Conference series over the weekend by taking two of three from Texas Tech, the Knights debut at No. 20 in the Perfect Game Top 25 Week Seven Poll and No. 25 in this week's D1Baseball poll. The Black and Gold currently hold an 18-7 overall record and a 6-6 Big 12 mark. With Kansas State and Oklahoma dropping out of the poll this week, UCF is the only Big 12 school in this week’s Perfect Game and D1Baseball polls.

Over the five major polls, UCF is also receiving votes in both this week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches and NCBWA polls, and unranked in the Baseball America poll.

UCF was last ranked to open the 2021 season. The Knights were ranked No. 24 by Baseball America in the 2021 preseason poll as well as No. 28 by the NCBWA.

UCF has a busy week on tap, as it will play five games over six days. The Knights will first head to Daytona Beach to face Bethune-Cookman at 6 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Tuesday before returning home to host North Florida on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Black and Gold will then welcome Kansas State to town for a three-game league series Friday to Sunday on John Euliano Park.
