Women's Tennis Adds Duo to Roster

ORLANDO – The UCF women’s tennis team has added Donatella Guarnieri and Anya Ambarish to its roster for the remainder of the 2024 dual-match season.

Donatella Guarnieri | 5-9 | So. | Valencia, Venezuela | Broward Virtual School

Guarnieri has been a member of the UCF Club Tennis team for two years and served as the Vice President during the 2023-24 season. As a member of the club team, she helped the team earn a bid to the 2023 Tennis on Campus National Championships, winning four tournaments in her first year with the team and qualifying for the club’s A-Team. A four-star recruit out of high school, the accounting major was tabbed in the top 15 for girls 16 and under and top 20 for girls 18 and under in Florida.

Anya Ambarish | 5-8 | So. | Sterling, Virginia | Rock Ridge High School

Ambarish joins the UCF women’s tennis team as a two-year veteran of the Club Tennis team, where she was a starter on the club’s A-Team. With the club team, she placed 12th individually at the 2023 Tennis on Campus National Championships and has won eight tournaments. The Sterling, Virginia, native has played tennis for 14 years, including while attending Rock Ridge High School. While at Rock Ridge, the sophomore finished second in the Virginia High School League 5A Singles Championships in 2021, and second in the VHSL 5A Doubles Championship in both 2021 and 2022 and was named Student-Athlete of the Year her senior year.
