Women's Golf Tied for Fifth at the UCF Challenge

ORLANDO- UCF women’s golfer Molly Smith recorded another solid round on the second day of the UCF Challenge held at Eagle Creek Country Club on Sunday, the freshman finished with a score of 68 (-4) to tie for second place.

As a team, the Black and Gold tied for fifth with a score of 290 (-2).

Smith finished the round with four birdies and was even through the rest of the fourteen holes.

Jess Baker ended the day with a score of 71 (-1) and carded four birdies.

Katie Poots finished with a score of 72 (E) receiving two birdies. She started off strong shooting one under through the front nine.

Camille Banzet fired a score of 73 (+1) with two birdies and three bogeys. Brittany Shin received a score of 75 (+3).

Emma Baier, as an individual finished the day off with 79 (+7)

UCF will tee off in the third and final round of the UCF Challenge Monday morning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The Knights are paired with Kansas and Northwestern.
