MELBOURNE, Fla. – The UCF women’s golf team had a tough day on the course Monday at the Moon Golf Invitational, as the Knights finished the day in 15th place on the team leaderboard with a 303 (+15) team score in the second round at the Suntree Country Club.
On a day when the Knights seemed to not have any luck, Katie Poots paced the squad at one over with three birdies. She started the day on hole No. 10 with a birdie. The freshman is tied for 10th following the first two rounds with an even par 144.
Jess Baker fired a 75 (+3) matching a team-high three birdies. She is tied for 54th after the first two days of action with a 151 (+7).
Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham carded a 76 (+4) with one birdie. She is tied for 60th with a score of 152 (+8) after two rounds of play. Molly Smith is tied for 73rd after recording a 79(+7) in the second round. Camille Banzet rounded out the lineup with an 81 (+9) on Monday.
UCF will wrap up play in the Moon Golf Invitational Tuesday with the final round, which is set for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
