ORLANDO - The UCF women’s golf team will continue its spring season at the Moon Golf Invitational at the par-72, 6,503-yard course at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida.
Due to projected inclement weather Sunday, the start of the tournament has been moved up a day to Saturday, Feb. 17. The teams are slated to play nine holes after the practice round with a shotgun start at 2 p.m.
The second and third rounds of the tournament are set for Monday, Feb. 19 and Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The Knights will be joined by Louisville (host), Wake Forest, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Northwestern, Auburn, Duke, Clemson, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Virginia Tech, and Augusta. Twelve of the 17 teams included are ranked in the top 25 of the latest Clipp’d rankings.
This will be the seventh annual Moon Golf Invitational. This year marks the Black and Gold’s sixth appearance in the tournament, tying for seventh place last year. UCF won the tournament back in 2019.
The Knights’ lineup will feature Molly Smith, Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham, Jess Baker, Camille Banzet and Katie Poots.
This will be the second tournament of the Knights’ spring schedule after the team tied for fifth and Smith placed second at the UCF Challenge.
