ORLANDO - The UCF men’s golf team heads to Gainesville, Florida, this weekend to play in the Gators Invitational hosted by the University of Florida. The tournament, which has been adjusted due to potential inclement weather on Sunday, will be held at Mark Bostick Golf Course Friday, Feb. 16 and Saturday, Feb. 17.
The teams play 36 holes Friday and 18 holes Saturday, with a modified shotgun start at 7:50 a.m. Fans can follow the action on GolfStat.com.
The Knights will be joined by Florida (host), Augusta, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, Jacksonville, Kentucky, Liberty, Navy, North Florida, Penn State, South Florida and West Virginia.
Founded in 1921, the Mark Bostick Golf Course serves as the home course for the Florida Gators women’s and men's golf teams. PGA players including Billy Horschel, Matt Every, Andy North also call this course home.
This lineup was made by a coach’s selection for each spot in the lineup. The decision was based off the totality of each player's World Amateur Golf Ranking, UCF tournament play, UCF practice evaluation rounds, daily team range practice, team workouts, attitude, academic standing, and overall effort/results.
Egor Eroshenko, Chase Haygood, Hans Risvaer, Gustav Anderson, and Cooper Tate will represent the Knights at the Gators Invitational.
