ORLANDO – Trovon Reed, a former NFL cornerback and member of Auburn’s 2010 National Championship team, has been named UCF football’s cornerbacks coach, announced Friday by head coach Gus Malzahn.

“Excited to announce the hiring of Trovon Reed, one of my former players at Auburn who played for two National Championships and played four years in the NFL,” said Malzahn. “Trovon’s a wonderful person that has a true gift with people and one of the rising stars in our profession.”

Reed joins the Knights after spending the past three seasons at Auburn, as the Tigers’ director of football and recruiting relations. As a player, he helped Auburn win two SEC Championships in 2010 and 2013 and was a freshman on the 2010 National Championship team.

During his time in the NFL, Reed was a member of the Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers.
