ORLANDO – The UCF women’s tennis team received numerous academic honors including All-Academic team and six individual Scholar-Athlete awards, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday.

The team earned a cumulative 3.61 GPA for the 2022-23 academic year, including a department-high 3.66 spring semester GPA, to earn All-Academic honors for the 13th season in a row. To be named an ITA All-Academic team, a program must have a grade point average of 3.2 or above, with all student-athletes and varsity letter winners being factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

In addition to the team nod, Sophia Biolay, Grace Levelston, Marie Mattel, Noel Saidenova, Jantje Tilbuerger, and Stefani Webb were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. To earn Scholar-Athlete distinction, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Saidenova and Mattel were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team earlier this year. This is the fourth-consecutive year that Mattel has been tabbed an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and the second-consecutive honor for Biolay and Saidenova.
