STILLWATER, Okla. – Due to anticipated inclement weather throughout the upcoming March 17-19 weekend in the Stillwater, Oklahoma, area and in the greater midwestern United States, the schedule for the (RV) UCF softball team's scheduled participation in the OSU Mizuno Classic has been modified.
The Knights, originally scheduled to play five games over the weekend, two against No. 22 Arizona State and three against host No. 2 Oklahoma State, will have one game against the Cowgirls eliminated from their schedule. UCF will now play a total of four games during the weekend tournament, two against both Arizona State and Oklahoma State.
The previously-scheduled start times for the Knights' five games in Oklahoma included a Friday, March 17 doubleheader against Arizona State and Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET, respectively, followed by a similar Saturday twin-bill against the two teams at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. ET, respectively. UCF was slated to conclude the weekend with a third matchup against the Cowgirls Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. ET.
With the schedule change and the elimination of one game against Oklahoma State, the Knights will now play their Friday, March 17 doubleheader against Arizona State and Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. ET, respectively, before playing just one game against the Sun Devils Saturday, March 18 at 6 p.m. ET. UCF's Sunday, March 19 matchup against Oklahoma State has also been moved to 1 p.m. ET.
