ORLANDO – The five-time reigning American Athletic Conference Champion UCF volleyball team unveiled its spring schedule on Monday, as the Knights will be in action four times this spring season.
"This entire year before we begin in August is specifically designed to get us ready for Big XII competition," said head coach Todd Dagenais. "We know that we have some gaps to fill, and we have the talent to do so, they just need to get on the floor and perform against the highest level of competition possible. Fortunately, we live in a state where we can get a significant top-25 caliber competition during our four allowable weekends.
"Road matches against Florida, Florida State, and Miami will greatly test us, and it will allow players to step up and solidify a larger role within the program. The competition in the spring alone will not fully prepare us for the competition in the fall."
The Knights open their spring slate in Tallahassee against Florida State on March 3 at 3:30 p.m.
UCF's home slate begins with a March 25 doubleheader, as the Knights play Florida Southern, Stetson and South Florida with the first match set to start at 10 a.m.
The Black and Gold head to Miami on April 1 for a matchup against the Hurricanes at noon.
To wrap up the spring season, UCF will head to Gainesville as the squad takes on Florida on April 13 at 6 p.m.
