UCF Athletics Extends 3.0 GPA Streak to 32 Semesters

by John Heisler

UCF student-athletes have extended their record-setting streak in the classroom to 32 consecutive semesters with a department grade-point average of 3.0 or better—including nine straight semesters with a 3.3 or higher mark.

The Knights compiled a combined 3.39 GPA in the 2023 fall semester, the second-highest semester GPA in program history.

More than 75% of student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester—and 66 earned a 4.0 GPA.

UCF has posted a department-wide GPA of 3.3 or better nine times in the last 10 years. The Knights have not turned in a semester below a 3.0 since fall 2007. The top 11 semester marks in school history have come over the last 13 semesters as the Knights continued to win championships in their fields of competition.

The UCF rowing team posted the highest overall 2023 fall semester GPA at 3.65, its highest in program history. The Knights’ men's golf team recorded the highest GPA of UCF men's programs this fall with a 3.46 semester mark. The baseball team was right behind with its record-high 3.43 GPA.

The academic statistics are based on 407 student-athletes listed on UCF rosters this past semester with 129 named to the Dean’s List, 119 tabbed to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and 50 student-athletes on the President’s List.
