Women's Golf Wins Evie Odom Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Knights led throughout the entire Evie Odom Invitational. After a bumpy start in round three, UCF rallied with 15 birdies on the day, 11 of those on the back nine. UCF ended with an 850 (+10) score to earn first place.


Five Knights placed in the top-25, led by Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham. The victory marked its second at the event after winning in 2021 and the 11th career under head coach Emily Marron.


Sisutham shot 71 or better in all three rounds (68, 71, 70). She finished one-under overall just six shots back of the individual winner. She was par or better on the back nine in round three carding three birdies.


Molly Smith and Jess Baker each tied for 11th place with a score of 213 (+3). Smith tallied four birdies on the day.


Brittany Shin posted a final score of 216 (+6) to tie for 18th place. She carded three consecutive birdies on hole no. 6, 7 and 8. Tunrada “Pat” Piddon rounded out the lineup with a score of 218 (+8) good enough for T-25.


Competing as an individual, Camille Banzet, jumped up 15 spots from yesterday recording a final score of 223 (+13). She tied for 46th place after recording two birdies on the front nine.


UCF travels to Knoxville, Tennessee for the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate from October 15-17.
