Women's Golf in First after Day One at the Evie Odom Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Teeing off in the second tournament of the season, the UCF women’s golf team shot a 273 (-7) to sit in first place at the Evie Odom Invitational.


The trio of Molly Smith, Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham and Jess Baker all turned in 2-under-par performances on the opening day to finish tied for third. Sisutham leads the tournament with 16 pars on the day. Smith rounded out the day with back-to-back birdies. The group combined for 10 birdies on the day.


Brittany Shin (-1) and Tunrada Piddon (E) finished within a stroke of one another to round out the lineup to place T8 and T13, respectively. Shin tallied four birdies while Piddon added two.


As an individual, Camille Banzet concluded the day in T50. The France native collected three birdies on the day.
