ORLANDO – It’s been a long time coming for UCF volleyball as they found their way in the AVCA rankings at No. 24 after receiving votes for eight weeks.
The Knights (16-2, 7-0) join five other conference members who are ranked in the top 25 including No. 6 Texas, No. 9 BYU, No. 14 Kansas and No. 21 Baylor.
UCF played Kansas State on Oct. 14 and came away with a 3-2 win as Kansas State recently upset Iowa State (previously ranked No. 25) and Baylor.
The Black and Gold will face their second-ranked opponent of the season as they head to Waco, Texas for back-to-back matches with No. 21 Baylor on Saturday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 22.
Saturday’s match will be on ESPN+ at 3 p.m. while Sunday’s matchup will be aired on ESPN2 at 1 p.m.
