ORLANDO – After competing in the Big 12 Match Play Tournament, the UCF men’s golf team is back in action this weekend at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational hosted Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Mississippi State at the Fallen Oak Golf Club in Saucier, Mississippi.

Action is set to begin on Sunday, Oct. 15 and end on Tuesday, Oct. 17, with the teams playing 18 holes each day. UCF will tee off at 9:40 a.m. Sunday from hole No. 10.

The Knights will be joined by the nation’s top-ranked team Auburn, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana Tech, No. 10 Mississippi State, No. 3 Ole Miss, SMU, Southern Miss, UNLV and Wisconsin.

Fallen Oak is a par-72, 7,487-yard championship course nestled 20 miles north of Biloxi, Mississippi, and 60 miles south of Hattiesburg. The course has been ranked as the best in the state for six consecutive years and has been named one of the nation’s top 100 golf courses by Golf Digest.

The 2023 event is the inaugural season of the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational.

This lineup was made by a coach’s selection for each spot in the lineup. This decision was based off the totality of each players World Amateur Golf Ranking, UCF tournament play, UCF practice evaluation rounds, daily team range practice, team workouts, attitude, academic standing, and overall effort/results.

Gustav Andersson, Garret Ebbert, Egor Eroshenko, Nicholas Estrada and Hans Risvaer will represent the Knights, while Chase Haygood will compete as an individual in the event.

UCF returns to stroke play for the Fallen Oak Collegiate, after competing in Big 12 Match Play last weekend. The Knights played four tough matches, but came up just short against Baylor, Iowa State and West Virginia.
