United Soccer Coaches Week 7 Poll

ORLANDO – After the UCF men’s soccer team once again achieved the highest national United Soccer Coaches ranking in program history at No. 2 a week ago, the squad holds steady with their No. 2 slot for the second consecutive week.

UCF (6-1-2, 2-1-1 SBC) remains within the top two in the nation in the organization’s week seven poll following its 2-0 victory over the Georgia Southern Eagles Oct. 7, the team’s second straight shutout win and its third of the 2023 fall campaign. The team’s No. 2 national ranking also represents the highest national team ranking of any program in UCF athletics history.

The Knights also remained within the top two in Top Drawer Soccer’s latest release, holding steady at No. 2 in the publication’s week seven poll. After dropping to No. 7 in College Soccer News’ last two polls, the Knights also rise to No. 5 in its latest rankings as well.

The Marshall Thundering Herd, the lone team to hand the Knights a loss thus far, remained the top-ranked team in the nation in all three polls on the strength of their spotless 11-0-0 record, including a 4-0-0 mark within the Sun Belt.

In the United Soccer Coaches’ latest release, UCF also gained a first-place vote for the first time this fall, with Marshall garnering the remaining seven.

The West Virginia Mountaineers remined within the top 10 in the United Soccer Coaches’ week seven poll, pulling in at No. 7. Clemson (No. 21) and Florida International (No. 23) represent the remaining two 2023 Knights opponents in the latest release.
