ORLANDO – Headlined by six games against teams that participated in the 2023 NCAA Tournament and nine home games, the Big 12 Conference announced UCF women’s basketball’s inaugural conference schedule on Tuesday.
The Knights will play 18 conference games, playing four teams solely at home, four on the road, and five both home and away. Additionally, UCF will have first-time matchups with four conference teams.
UCF will begin its inaugural season of Big 12 action on Saturday, Dec. 30, as the Knights visit Oklahoma for the first time in program history.
Following its opening game at Oklahoma, UCF will play three of its next four games in Addition Financial Arena, including a two-game home stand on Wednesday, Jan. 3 against Oklahoma State, followed by a first-time visit from Kansas State on Saturday, Jan. 6.
After a midweek trip to Ohio to face familiar foe Cincinnati on Wednesday, Jan. 10, the Knights return home to host West Virginia on Saturday, Jan. 13.
The Black and Gold will play three of their next four games on the road after the homestand. UCF will play two straight on the road with stops in Texas at Baylor on Saturday, Jan. 20 and TCU on Tuesday, Jan. 23. Followed by hosting Houston on Saturday, Jan. 27 in Addition Financial Arena. The Knights will visit West Virginia on Tuesday, Jan. 30 to complete the first half of their league slate.
To begin the second half of its Big 12 schedule, UCF will host reigning Big 12 Champion Iowa State for the first time in program history on Saturday, Feb. 3. The Knights will then welcome Cincinnati on Wednesday, Feb. 7, followed by a trip to Texas Tech on Saturday, Feb. 10.
BYU visits Addition Financial Arena for the first time in program history on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The Knights return to the road on Saturday, Feb. 17, to visit Kansas State. The Black and Gold stay on the road for a trip to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for the matchup against Oklahoma State on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
UCF will wrap up its home schedule as Texas comes to Orlando for the first time in school history on Saturday, Feb. 24. The Knights will host Kansas for the final home game of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
The Black and Gold will play their final league game on the road at Houston on Saturday, March 2.
The 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship will be contested at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, March 7-12. Ticket information will be available later this year.
Game times, TV designations and game promotions will be announced at a later date.
