ORLANDO – With the release of the United Soccer Coaches’ week six rankings Tuesday afternoon, the UCF women’s soccer team has reentered the poll at No. 19, the highest ranking since Aug. 24, 2021, when the Knights were ranked No. 19 as well. This marks the third time this season that the Knights have been featured in the poll, previously starting off the season at No. 23 and then climbing to No. 22 in week one.

The Black and Gold have had a perfect start to its inaugural Big 12 conference season, going 3-0 in its first three matches. The Knights started off conference play hosting West Virginia and swiftly defeated the reigning Big 12 tournament champions 4-2. UCF then collected back-to-back 1-0 shutouts over Houston and Kansas to collect a total of nine points in conference play thus far.

UCF joins No. 6 BYU, No. 14 Texas Tech and No. 20 Texas as the only Big 12 schools to be ranked in the top 25. The Knights will host Texas and Texas Tech on Oct. 5 and Oct. 12, respectively, during their final homestand before going on the road to close out the season at BYU on Oct. 23

Kickoff for the 19th-ranked Knights’ Thursday matchup against Oklahoma State is slated for 8 p.m. from Neal Patterson Stadium in Stillwater, Okla.
