ORLANDO - Jasmyne Graham, a former collegiate track and field All-American in the 100 hurdles at the University of Southern California and UNLV, has joined the UCF track and field program as an assistant coach, head coach Dana Boone announced Tuesday.

Graham spent the 2023 season at Sacramento State, where she served as an assistant coach under head coach Kenny McDaniel. In her short stint with the Hornets, Graham coached Ava Fitzgerald (100 hurdles) and Blaize Holland (400 hurdles) to berths at the NCAA Championships West Preliminary Round. Fitzgerald also set the program’s freshman record in the event at 13.74.

At UCF, Graham will serve in a similar role, assisting head coach Dana Boone with the sprint and hurdle squads, along with handling director of operations duties.

We are so excited to add Jasmyne to the UCF staff. She is a young up-and-coming coach who will help us transition into a new era. I’m looking forward to watching her grow and develop. Welcome home, Coach Graham!

Graham began her coaching career at the University of New Mexico. In 2022, she coached Rivaldo Leacock to an appearance at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships in the 400 hurdles.

While competing at UNLV, Graham broke numerous hurdles records. She set the program record in the 100 hurdles her senior season at 13.07, later claiming second team All-America honors after finishing 14th at the 2019 NCAA DI Outdoor Championships. At the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, she won the 100 hurdles in 2018, while finishing second in 2019, along with a fourth-place finish in the 400-Hurdles. Graham also competed in the long jump, scoring in both 2018 (fourth) and 2019 (third) for the Rebels at the conference championships. She finished third in the 60 hurdles at both the 2018 and 2019 Mountain West Indoor Championships and currently holds the fourth-best performance in program history in the event at 8.33. Graham graduated from UNLV with a degree in Human Services and Urban Studies.

It's an incredible opportunity to be here. I'm really looking forward to my time in Orlando and making some history with UCF in the Big 12. Coach Boone is doing great things here and I'm so excited for what's to come.
