ORLANDO – Coming off a fourth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance, UCF women’s golf head coach Emily Marron announced the Knights 2023-24 season schedule on Tuesday.
UCF will compete in four fall tournaments and five spring tournaments before the postseason. The Big 12 Championship will be April 18-20 at the Houston Oaks CC in Hockley, Texas. The NCAA Championship is scheduled for May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
“This season we will again face the best teams in the country with every event,” said Coach Marron. “We go to a lot of familiar venues which will serve our seasoned veterans well, as they have played these courses several times with success. With a mix of experienced players and some dynamic freshmen coming in this schedule gives us the opportunity to be nationally competitive throughout the season and have us primed for the Big 12 championship and NCAA postseason play.”
The fall slate will start with the Cougar Classic hosted by the College of Charleston Sept. 11-12 at the Yeamans Hall Country Club in Charleston South Carolina. UCF will follow it up with a trip back to Virginia Beach, Virginia for the Princess Anne Invitational Oct. 6-8, hosted by ODU, where the Knights took home the title in 2021.
The following weekend will see the team travel to Knoxville, Tennessee for the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship, hosted by Tennessee, from October 15-17. The fall schedule will conclude Oct. 27-29 at the Landfall Tradition at Landfall Country Club, hosted by UNCW.
UCF opens the spring slate by hosting the annual UCF Challenge, from Feb. 4-6 at Eagle Creek Golf and Country Club in Orlando. The Knights will stay in the Sunshine State as they head an hour southeast to Melbourne for the Moon Golf Invitational hosted by Louisville Feb. 18-20.
Next up, UCF will wrap up the Sunshine State tour with a trip to Gainesville for the Vystar Gator Invite, hosted by Florida from March 2-3 at Mark Bostick Golf Course. The Knights make a return trip to the state of South Carolina for the Briar's Creek Invitational held at the Briar's Creek Golf Club on March 13-14.
The Black and Gold will wrap up the regular season with the Texas Showdown, a match play event. The Knights will go head-to-head against SMU and Big 12 foe Baylor at the event held in Dallas from April 7-9.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, UCF will play in the Big 12 Championship on April 18-20 at Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley, Texas. The NCAA Regionals will be held May 6-8 and the NCAA Championship will take place from May 17-22 in Carlsbad, California.
