ORLANDO – Abby Hansen has been named to the All-Big 12 Volleyball Preseason Team announced by the league on Tuesday.
The Graduate Student started in all 30 matches for the Knights last season where she led the team in blocks (127). Along with second on the team in points (294) and was named American Athletic First Team All-Conference.
As a team, the Knights were selected to finish ninth in the preseason rankings with the reigning National Champion, Texas, slated for first place.
The preseason team and awards are voted on by the league’s head coaches who are not permitted to vote for their own players.
