UCF Finishes Its Decade in AAC With Most Conference Titles

UCF has concluded its 10-year tenure in the American Athletic Conference, and during that decade the Knights won more league titles than any other conference member.
 
UCF teams won 52 AAC titles from 2013-14 through 2022-23—21 regular-season crowns and 31 more via conference postseason tournaments, league title games or other conference champion designations.
 
Behind the Knights on the AAC list are Houston (45), SMU (34), Tulsa (30), South Florida (28) and Cincinnati (21).
 
The highest-achieving Knight sports over those 10 years have been volleyball (11 overall titles—5 regular season), football (8 titles—4 regular season), softball (6 titles—3 regular season), women's soccer (5 titles—4 regular season) and rowing (5 titles).
 
In certain years in football and volleyball, the league awarded two championships in years when title games or tournaments were not played.

UCF officially joins the Big 12 Conference on July 1, 2023, and will begin league play in the 2023-24 athletic year. The Knights' opening conference contests come Sept. 14 in women's soccer (a home match vs. West Virginia), Sept. 21-22 in volleyball (at Cincinnati) and Sept. 23 in football (at Kansas State).
