Former UCF Standout Teddy Tetak Wins 2023 Riedhof Open

Former UCF men's golf standout Teddy Tetak secured his first professional tournament win Wednesday, as he captured the title at the 2023 Riedhof Open held at the Munich-Riedhof Golf Club in Munich, Germany.

The Limbach, Slovakia, native finished the tournament with a three-round score of 203 (-13) to win the championship by four strokes. Tetak was three under in each of the first two rounds before closing out the open with a seven-under-par 65 to pull away from the field.

"This victory means a lot to me," Tetak said following the win. "I've put a lot of work into my game over the past few weeks and it has paid off, especially when it comes to putting. My putter was the best club in my bag - and that really rarely happens."

Tetak tallied 16 birdies in the tournament, headlined by a stellar performance on Wednesday with seven birdies in a bogey-free round to card a 65 (-7). In his last 27 holes, the former American Athletic All-Conference selection was locked in, as he dropped 10 birdies without a bogey.

His seven-under-par 65 was the lowest round by any player in the field and one of the lowest rounds of his professional career. Tetak wrapped up his UCF career last year with the second-best scoring average on the team with a 71.88 clip. He tallied one top-five, two top-10 and three top-20 finishes during the season.

Following the season, Tetak was tabbed a unanimous all-conference selection along with teammate Johnny Travale.
