Women's Soccer Announce Inaugural 2023 Big 12 Schedule

ORLANDO - UCF women's soccer's inaugural Big 12 Conference schedule has been released, as the Big 12 announced its 2023 conference schedule Monday morning. The 10-match slate is highlighted by five home contests and three duels against teams that competed in the 2022 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.

The first Big 12 Conference match in program history will be played at home, when the Knights host defending Big 12 champ West Virginia for the conference opener Sept. 14.

UCF will then find itself on a quick road trip out west when it travels to take on Houston Sept. 21, before heading back home to host Kansas on Sept. 24.

The Knights will journey to Oklahoma for a two-match road swing. UCF heads to Stillwater to face Oklahoma State on Sept. 28, then closes out the road swing in Norman versus Oklahoma on Oct. 1.

For the last home stand of the season, the Black and Gold will host three teams who call Texas home, starting off with Texas on Oct. 5. The Knights will host Baylor three days later and Texas Tech shortly after on Oct. 8 and 12, respectively.

The squad will close the regular season on the road, traveling first to familiar foe Cincinnati on Oct. 10. A trip to Provo, Utah, on Oct. 23 will round out the campaign for the Knights, going head-to-head with BYU in the regular-season finale.

The 2022 team found immense success in its final season in the AAC, being crowned the regular season conference champions and earning a bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. The Knights advanced to the second round, after defeating NC State in the opening round, where they fell short to UCLA, the eventual national champions, in PKs.
